Editing and revising text
You cannot correct a piece of text that you have written yourself: since a decision taken for the purpose of observation - in this case for checking - cannot observe itself once again. It acts as your own blind spot. You work exclusively to the best of your knowledge. In the case of editing, this means:
1. You detect your own mistakes only with great difficulty or not at all
2. If you do find the mistake, you are not sure whether the correction is right
3. You can modify your writing style only marginally
